Title: Then Came You – A Bradford Sisters Novella
Genre: Inspirational Romance
Published: March 7, 2017
A leather-bound journal. A single father. A woman in pursuit of freedom.
Garner Bradford, heir to the troubled Bradford Shipping empire, doesn’t know much about babies. But he’s going to have to learn fast because he’s just become a single father to his newborn daughter. As he confesses through his journal entries, he’s not entirely sure how to keep a newborn alive, whether or not he’ll ever patch together his shattered heart, or how to forgive himself for his mistakes.
Career girl Kathleen Burke is wholly uninterested in settling down. She has big dreams, and none of them include Garner and his small hometown in Washington State. Yet she can’t seem to get her handsome boss out of her head or her heart. There’s something extraordinarily tempting about his beautifully sad green eyes. . . .
Becky Wade proves to me, yet again, that she has a creative and amazing way of telling a story. I can honestly say I have never read a book written the way this one is. What a beautiful and twisted story this one is. One minute you’re laughing, the next you are left speechless or crying. To see the private thoughts of each person gives the book a more intimate feel. Each character’s individual story is heartbreaking and intriguing, leaving you cheering for them at every page. I can not wait to read the next one.

Title: True to You
Genre: Inspirational Romance
Published: May 2, 2017
After a devastating heartbreak three years ago, genealogist and historical village owner Nora Bradford has decided that burying her nose in her work and her books is far safer than romance in the here and now.
Unlike Nora, former Navy SEAL and Medal of Honor recipient John Lawson is a modern-day man, usually 100 percent focused on the present. But when he’s diagnosed with an inherited condition, he’s forced to dig into the secrets of his past and his adoption as an infant, enlisting Nora to help him uncover the identity of his birth mother.
The more time they spend together, the more this pair of opposites suspects they just might be a perfect match. However, John’s already dating someone and Nora’s not sure she’s ready to trade her crushes on fictional heroes for the risks of a real relationship. Finding the answers they’re seeking will test the limits of their identity, their faith, and their devotion to one another.
I knew from the start that I would enjoy this one. It was a combination of all my favorite things in a story – military hunk, a quirky heroine, and a family cheering them on even though they fight the obvious. I cried a little when it was revealed what his condition was. I found I was putting myself in his shoes and wondering how different my life would be. I nodded in agreement at genealogical research tips were given as I am a genealogy hound myself and had used many of the tactics. Now that I have finished this story, I am ready for the next.
Thank you LitFuse Promotions, Bethany House publishing, and Becky Wade for giving me the opportunity to read yet another fantastic book.
The running theme I found in both these books was “finding your self-worth and finding hope where none could be seen”. Both are truly beautiful. (I would recommend reading the novella prequel for sure. It sheds more light on the series.)

During her childhood in California, Becky frequently produced homemade plays starring her sisters, friends, and cousins. These plays almost always featured a heroine, a prince, and a love story with a happy ending. She’s been a fan of all things romantic ever since.
Becky and her husband lived overseas in the Caribbean and Australia before settling in Dallas, Texas. It was during her years abroad that Becky’s passion for reading turned into a passion for writing. She published three historical romances with Avon Books, then put her career on hold for several years to care for her kids, then recently returned to writing sheerly for the love of it. She felt led to move to the genre of contemporary Christian romance and couldn’t be more thrilled with it.
These days Becky can be found failing but trying to keep up with her housework, sweating at the gym, carting her kids around town, playing tennis, hunched over her computer, eating chocolate, or collapsed on the sofa watching TV with her husband.
